  • Q Can Hualian provide MAP or vacuum packaging solutions for food, meat and cheese products?

    A Yes, our MAP packaging machines and vacuum packaging machines are widely used in various food industries. Modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) primarily extends shelf life by adjusting the gas composition inside the package, and this method significantly enhances the visual appeal of food products. Vacuum packaging removes oxygen from the bag to inhibit bacterial growth, thereby extending shelf life at a relatively lower cost; however, this method is more suitable for foods that are not easily fragile.

  • Q What is the difference between vacuum packaging, tray sealing and thermoforming packaging?

    Vacuum packaging works by extracting air from the vacuum bag so that it fits snugly against the food, thereby preserving freshness. The material costs are relatively low, and packaging equipment comes in various types—including tabletop, vertical, dual-chamber, and continuous models—each with different packaging speeds.
    Tray packaging includes various methods such as simple sealing, MAP, and VSP. It not only provides excellent freshness retention but also offers an attractive appearance, making it particularly suitable for high-end supermarkets.
    Thermoforming packaging includes both flexible and rigid film options, as well as various methods such as simple sealing, MAP, and VSP. Fully automated packaging significantly improves packaging efficiency and output.

    A Of course. Many of our customers send us samples for testing, and we’ll send you both the test videos and the test samples for your confirmation. Additionally, once the equipment is manufactured, we’ll conduct a series of tests and send the results to you for confirmation.

  • Q Can Hualian customize packaging machines for my product size, material or capacity?

    Yes. Hualian can customize packaging solutions based on your product characteristics, package format, packaging material, required speed/capacity, and production layout.
    Customization may include machine size, mold dimensions, forming or sealing specifications, feeding method, conveyor layout, electrical configuration, and upstream/downstream integration.
    The final solution should be confirmed by our technical team according to your actual product, packaging requirements, and production conditions.

  • Q Should I choose a standalone packaging machine or a complete packaging line?

    A This depends on your factory’s production capacity needs and budget. If you’re a startup with a limited budget and relatively low production requirements, you might consider starting with a single machine; however, it will require manual assistance and cannot be fully automated. If you’re a relatively established company,

    A First, you need to clearly identify the product characteristics of your industry and the specific packaging style requirements; second, you need to understand your production volume targets and overall budget; and finally, you need to have a good understanding of your factory’s layout.   • Q What film materials are suitable for thermoforming packaging machines?

    Thermoforming packaging machines can work with flexible and rigid films, including PA/PE, PET/PE, PP, PET-based films, and high-barrier films with EVOH layers.
     
    The appropriate film is selected based on product type, required shelf life, sterilization or heating conditions, forming depth, sealing requirements, and package structure. Film thickness, forming temperature, and sealing parameters must also match the machine and mold configuration.
     
    To achieve the best results, confirm the final film specifications based on the actual product and machine model.

  • Q Can one thermoforming packaging machine handle different package depths?

    A
    Yes. Within the machine’s allowable forming range, different package depths can be achieved by changing the forming mold.
    The actual forming depth depends on the product height, package dimensions, film properties, mold design, and the machine’s maximum forming depth. Before changing to a deeper or shallower package, the new mold size and forming depth should be checked to ensure they are compatible with the specific machine model.
    If frequent product changeovers are required, the machine can also be configured with quick mold change options to improve flexibility and reduce downtime.

  • Q Can a thermoforming packaging machine be equipped with a filling system?

    A Yes, certainly. We can customize various filling systems, such as gripper feeding or liquid filling.
